Explore surgically created cheek dimples through an informed discussion of placement, expression, possible complications and the limited evidence about long-term outcomes.
Add to my plan↗ Explore the details ↓About the procedure
Dimpleplasty is an elective procedure intended to create a cheek indentation by connecting the skin to deeper tissue, commonly through an approach inside the mouth. Techniques vary, and a dimple may behave differently at rest and during smiling. Published clinical reports describe outcomes and complications, but they do not establish that a particular appearance or lasting result can be guaranteed. A consultation should discuss your facial movement, proposed placement, alternatives and uncertainty, including the possibility that the dimple is too deep, uneven or changes over time.
