About the procedure

A little clarity.
A considered decision.

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, may address excess upper-eyelid skin, puffiness or bags around the eyes. Upper and lower eyelids have different structures and may need different approaches. In some cases, upper-eyelid skin affects vision, but the underlying cause needs assessment. Eyebrow position and eye health also influence planning. The consultation should distinguish a cosmetic concern from a functional problem, review dryness or other eye symptoms and explain the limits of surgery, recovery needs and possible effects on eyelid function.

A little clarity

Your questions,
answered.

Can upper and lower eyelids both be treated?

They can be assessed together, but the appropriate plan depends on anatomy and eye health.

Will it remove every line around my eyes?

No. Eyelid surgery does not address every cause of lines or skin texture changes.

Does brow position matter?

Yes. A lowered brow can contribute to upper-eyelid heaviness and may change the treatment discussion.

Does adding this procedure confirm my suitability?

No. Build My Plan records your interests for discussion. A qualified clinician must assess suitability, risks and any alternatives.

How do I find out my own recovery plan?

Ask your treating team for written instructions, review arrangements and contact details appropriate to your procedure and health.
