The questions to bring to your consultation

A thoughtful conversation begins with the things that matter to you.

A thoughtful conversation begins with the things that matter to you.

Start with your own questions

Write down what you would like to discuss before your consultation. Think about your expectations, your reasons for considering a procedure and the practical questions that would help you make an informed choice.

Ask about the whole plan

The discussion can include alternatives, limitations, risks, the care setting and the people involved. Ask who will assess your case, who would carry out the procedure and how follow-up would be arranged.

Leave room to think

You do not need to decide simply because you have asked for information. Take time to reflect on the answers and ask for clarification where you need it.

Your questions matter. ♡

Collect the procedures you are interested in, then use your plan as a starting point for a clinical conversation.
